Below are some of the additional positions and a description of some of their responsibilities.
Greeters:
- greet people as soon as the exit customs
- describe process they will be entering for COVID screen
- assess how prepared traveller form is to determine where they need to go: straight to counter (if there is safe space); table to fill form, or translation services if required
Interviewers:
- at counters
- receive forms
- data entry
- assess if it its sufficient (either they are allowed to leave or sent to isolation team)
Rovers:
- managing queues
- asking people to keep safe distances
- offering help
- directing traffic to various counters during peak loads
Translators:
- contracted staff
- help with forms and explanations
Exit Controls:
- stationary positions at exit points to ensure individuals have cleared the screening process or are proceeding to isolation exit as instructed
Isolation Support Staff:
- being led by EMBC
Transportation & Curb Staff:
- Escorting individuals to designated bay (Bay #7) to vehicle to take them to isolation hotel/quarantine
Supervisors:
- troubleshooting onsite
- supplies (monitor levels, provide to staff as needed)
- daily reporting (issues, summary of clearances, isolation #s, feedback on forms)
- shift scheduling
- HR issues
- staff orientation
Manager:
- lead daily meetings with CBSA, PHAC, YVR
- work with supervisor on assessing daily/weekly outlook based on flight schedules
- approving purchases/procurement
- reporting to Executive Sponsors
